Re your statement about Progesterone, I believe Fenugreek is a perfect supplement either orally or topically or both, since it contains diosgenin. DIOSGENIN is used to make Progesterone. Interestingly, even though it’s a phytoestrogen (like Ginseng), it’s purported to increase Testosterone and is used in Testofen.

However, phytoestrogens apparently can have dual effects:

So I’m wondering, would the effect of Fenugreek be that it is antagonizing Estrogen and Progesterone, thereby increasing testosterone? Even though everyone is saying Testosterone is the problem because it converts to DHT, there are flaws in that argument.

Or would it be that it’s blocking Testosterone/DHT?

In reply to Paz. Could you explain why Estrogen is associated with MPB? Because everyone seems to be saying it's Testosterone, which converts to DHT.

Hello. Came to your site based on a post about your massage protocol by JD. I received a diagnosis of androgenic alopecia after a punch test from my dermatologist but never understood it to be a scarring hair loss type. Thank you so much for your insight. I will be purchasing your book. How do you think your protocol differs from the scalp massage videos on YouTube and what is your opinion on microneedling vs massage. Do you feel using finasteride in conjunction with massage is best?

Hi Rob
In relation to Ingredient #2, what are your thoughts on a pharmacy compounded isofavanoid capsule derived from Soy called Equol. This capsule was recommended for my 17 year old son diagnosed with androgenic alopecia. Equol apparently binds to DHT thereby inhibiting DHT-induced follicle miniaturisation and thinning scalp hair. I was told there were NO known adverse side effects with oral Equol as there are with finasteride. Any comments/insight you have have would be greatly appreciated.

Related to above, if one wanted to try Brotzu Lotion, will it be available out side of Europe?
